Two merchant ships were sunk within 48 hours, and the Houthi armed forces’ Red Sea attacks continued to escalate
Just in the past week, the Houthi armed forces’ attacks on merchant ships sailing in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea have become more frequent and fierce, and shipwrecks and crew casualties have continued to occur in the short term!
On June 12 and 13 alone, two cargo ships had sunk or were about to sink after being attacked
On June 16, local time, Houthi armed forces military spokesman Yahya Sarea issued a statement saying that in the past 72 hours, due to “violating the ban on entering Israeli ports”, the freighter “Verbena” sank after being hit by multiple missiles in the Gulf of Aden.

At the same time, the “Tutor” ship, which was previously attacked by unmanned boats, drones and multiple ballistic missiles, may also sink in the next few hours!
This is the first time a cargo ship has been attacked and sunk in more than three months since the British cargo ship “Rubymar” was sunk in February. Moreover, the time interval between the attacks on the “Tutor” ship, which the Houthi armed forces claimed was about to sink, and the “Verbena” ship, which had already sunk, was less than 48 hours!
