According to news on May 14, Maersk and CMA CGM once again issued price increase notices to increase FAK rates on the Asia-Northern Europe route. Among them, Maersk said that starting from June 3, it will increase the FAK rates from basic ports in Asia to Rotterdam, Gdansk, Felixstowe, Aarhus, Gothenburg and Oslo in Northern Europe. Small cabinets range from $2,825 to $2,975, and large cabinets range from $5,500 to $5,900.

Subsequently, CMA CGM issued a notice stating that starting from June 1, 2024 (the loading date at the departure port), the FAK rate for cargo shipped from Asian ports (including Japan, Southeast Asia and Bangladesh) to Nordic ports will be increased to as high as US$6,000/ FEU.

Compared with the previously announced prices that took effect on May 15, this adjustment has once again increased the price. The price of small cabinets will increase by US$500 to US$3,200, and the price of large cabinets will increase by US$1,000 to US$6,000. Sources predict that rates may rise sharply in the second half of May
